Reverberations: Madeline Adams and Emily Chatton
James Oliver Gallery, 723 Chestnut St, 4th Floor, Philadelphia PA
February 11 - March 24, 2012

The exhibit was reviewed in Sunday, March 4's Philadelphia Inquirer by Edith Newhall.

"Wiggle Room":
"'Reverberations' is the perfect title for the current two-person exhibition at James Oliver Gallery.
"Madeline Adams' candy-colored stripe paintings of wavy lines over straight horizontal or vertical ones are the painterly descendants of op art, and I wish there were more of them here. Her pencil drawings of tiny coalescing shapes seem an entirely different enterprise and reminded me slightly of Astrid Bowlby's drawings, but without Bowlby's obsessive repetitions and humor."

I was the (Visual) Artist in Residence with the Philadelphia Artists Collective's CHANGES OF HEART (THE DOUBLE INCONSTANCY) by Pierre de Marivaux (adapted by Stephen Wadsworth, directed by Damon Bonetti) at the Broad Street Ministry.

During the Fall 2011 semester, I was the Philadelphia Museum of Art's, Art Partner's teacher at Austin Meehan Middle School, partnered with two seventh grade classes. In January 2012, I was the Artist in Residence at the Westtown School.
